Indiana Conference K-12 Board Desired School Products

(Lake Union Conference Education Code serves as official operating policy for Indiana Conference schools.  Our Conference K-12 Board has also developed additional requirements or guidelines that are shown below.)

 

Product 1: Students who have an active, personal, joyful relationship with Jesus Christ.

 

Product 2: Students who can clearly articulate and defend their beliefs using Scripture.

2.1 Teachers will use a variety of methods to ensure students can defend their beliefs using Bible texts they have memorized.
 

Product 3: Students whose understanding of scripture and positive experience with the church leads them to choose to be lifelong Seventh-day Adventists (or members of their family's church).
 

 

Product 4: Students who are well-mannered, well-behaved, polite and respectful.

4.1   Teachers will will make sure all students fully know what is expected of them academically and behaviorally before they are taken anywhere in public.

 

Product 5: Students who have big dreams and believe those dreams can come true if they delay gratification, work hard and persevere.

5.1 Teachers will use a variety of methods to daily teach the importance of self-regulation and delaying gratification to reach personal goals.
 

Product 6: Students who enjoy and are skillful at finding information, organizing, summarizing and presenting it
 

Product 7:  Students who can effectively challenge the status quo and make things better
 

Product 8: Teachers who behave professionally and love working in Adventist schools in the Indiana Conference.
 

Product 9: Parents and constituents who are proud of their school.

9.1 Teachers will give parents weekly updates on their child’s performance in school.
