Websites

bullet

US Department of Education Math Site - Simulations of key math concepts, online challenges for students, activities for families.

bullet

IXL - Recommended by Suzy LeBrun who writes, "My kids have started using this math website, that they love.  It does cost money, but it is worth it.  It is a home schooling website, and it lets the kids track their progress, as well as teachers, and parents."

Audio Visual Resources

Money and Making Change DVD - "It's a 58 minute DVD on counting pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, half dollars and dollars.  It also teaches how to write money in cents and dollars.  It shows equivalent forms, how to count money, practice counting money and the coin game.  It's a long DVD so breaking it up into several days would be the best.  It's the best money DVD I've seen and the kids really like it." Becky Cain teaches grades 1 & 2 at IJA.

Multiplication Table Songs - Peppy songs to teach the multiplication tables.  Indiana Conference teachers, call Stacy if you want this CD.
