The weighting does not work if you want a percentage of the grade for each category. For example, if you want 25% of the final grade to be homework and 75% to be test there is no way to do that with this program.

Weighting is done by the section called category. Click on that then you need to create your sections. I use daily, lab and test. my daily is 10% so I give it a 1.0 my tests are 50 so I give them a 5.
